Why work with a classroom AP CS teacher?

Most CS tutors are college students who took the class once. I teach AP Computer Science every year — I know the current 2025–26 framework, how the FRQs are graded, where students actually lose points, and how to fix it. When your student explains their code to me, I've heard that exact misconception a hundred times and know the way out of it.

What tutoring covers

Whatever the student needs, typically: catching up when class has moved too fast, Java fundamentals that never clicked, FRQ writing practice with real grading feedback, code tracing for the multiple-choice section, mock-exam review before May, or a head start the summer before taking the class. Also available for AP CS Principles and intro programming.

How it works

Sessions are one hour, online (screen share, live coding) or in person in Orange County. First step is a short conversation about where the student is and what they need — no charge, no commitment. If it's a fit, we set a regular time.

Get in touch

Tell me a little about the student and what's going on. I reply within one school day.
